What this site keeps.

The enquiry form on the contact page asks for a name and a phone number, and those two are the only ones it insists on. Everything else is optional: what the enquiry is about, which vehicle it concerns, an email address, a company name, and whatever you write in the message.

Nothing else on the site asks you for anything. The EMI calculator works out its figures in your own browser and never sends them anywhere — the numbers you put into it are not transmitted, stored or seen by us.

The form sends one email to the Kaifeng enquiry mailbox at [email protected], and that email is the record. This website has no database and writes nothing down: once the message is sent, the only copy is in the inbox of the people who answer it.

If you give an email address it is set as the reply address, so that hitting reply in that inbox answers you.

Answering you, and arranging whatever you asked for — a test drive, a price, a part, a service booking. It is not sold, and it is not passed to anyone outside MV Dugar Group, which is the distributor that handles Kaifeng sales, service, parts and warranty in Nepal.

There is no newsletter and no marketing list on this site, so writing in does not subscribe you to anything.

It sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising tag and no session recording. It does not build a profile of you, and it has no way to tell one visitor from another.

Loading any web page tells the servers that serve it where the request came from. Three touch this one: the host the site is published on, which keeps ordinary server logs including IP addresses; Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces and therefore receives your IP address when a page loads; and OpenStreetMap, which serves the map tiles on the contact page. The map is embedded rather than interactive, and it was chosen over the alternatives partly because it sets no advertising cookie.

The email itself is handled by the mail provider that hosts the Kaifeng mailbox, in the same way as any other email sent to that address.

An enquiry stays in the mailbox while it is being dealt with and for as long as there is a reason to keep it — a pending order, a warranty, a conversation that is not finished. It is not copied anywhere else by this website.

Write to [email protected] or call +977 971-4597832 and ask for a copy of what you sent us, a correction to it, or its deletion. Because the record is an email, that is a search of one mailbox rather than a request to a system, and it can be done for you directly.

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of earlier versions; the date is the whole of the history.
